Out of curiosity...

Can I place a Second Gen Electric fan into a First Gen cooling system?

I've searched words, catch phrases, possible key words, and the works. I haven't come upon anything but AFTERMARKET fans, aftermarket belts, wiring, and the likes.

I'm not sure if this has been answered.

However, those of you who know my cooling system issue know why I could possibly be asking.

I can actually remove the fan I just installed IF the electric fan from the SECOND GEN will work perfectly fine.

ADVICE? HELP? TIPS?

well consider this, the reason they didn't oput an electrical fan on the 1str gen was because the OEM alt could not support the current needed for it.

if you want to go electric, I would suggest just doing what almost every single person has been doing for years... there is a reason that everybody goes that route...

You're doin fine,KidL.......all these problems with very little money?...you're doing great! don-ohio :)^)

Ah shucks man. I read that post a few weeks ago. I couldn't find it for the life of me. Thank you. I feel slow at times. <shaking my head>

I was about to say, no, it's never been done. ;)

Check the other threads I've started for more info on the controller. I still have three or four assembled and tested boards sitting in a box.

I see you've found it. Just click on my username, then profile, then "latest started threads" on the left. I don't start threads often. I have one formal installation thread, an engineering thread, and the thread where I was developing the swap.
