Ok so i am new to the forums and new to the Mark VIII but must say i do like the car. Got some bugs to work out but will get there soon enough. In the meantime I want to get the necessities taken care of. The heat has been working for a week but today when I started the car lo and behold nothing. The controls all work but there seems to be nothing coming out of either the vents or deforst or anywhere. Can this be the blend acutator everyone talks about or does it sound more like the fan/ blower. If the latter anyone have a pic or diagram of where this is located and the easiest way to test this and replace if necessary? I do hear something when I turn the heat on and switch to auto towards the passenger side but like i said just no air coming out of anywhere nor do I hear the fan. Oh yeah it is a 1998 Mark VIII before anyone asks.

Thanks!!!

Fan blower.

Pop open your glove box. You will have to empty it and get the box to come all the way out and down. Inside look for a connector with two larger sized wires. With the fan on, wiggle this connector. If she fires up, you need to remove, clean and refurbish the connector. If you dont, you risk melting it!

Thanks for the info!!! I just found a post on another site that explains exactly what you said.
