Jag block with ford heads, cams intake and software correct?
how reliable are these motors compared to the ford 4.6L? I had a conti with 112k and no real issues in that time.

Im assuming labor is allot on these cars as there is no room to work on them, I could not even find the serpentine belt when I looked for it, where the heck is it hidden?

mine is pretty reliable i think... 19K miles with no engine problems, just do the oil change every 3K and u should be fine, i beat mine up every day and its still running like new so i dunno..

Like any engine it depends on the upkeep of it. Do that and you have a good car. Of course everything is bound to have a problem sometime. I have had my LS v8 for getting close to 2 years and it had almost 29k when I got it an has 41 now and have not had one thing go wrong on it.

hey the belt's right there in the front where it should be:)

I bought my '02 last Oct. and have put 23,000 miles on it. Other than basic maintenance i havent had any problems. Although i have a V6.

No real internal problems like crankwalk in the old DSM's, but things like oil in the spark plug well can be a problem, an easy fix.

I have heard of exactly ONE 3.9 puking it's guts. That's a pretty good record!

I've owned at least 8 32V 4.6's and a couple SOHC 4.6's. The 32V motors are buttermilk they are so smooth. But they don't compare to the 3.9's. If the 4.6 is buttermilk...the 3.9 is whipped cream. It is the smoothest motor I have ever driven...and rock solid dependability mechanically.
