New light duty generator: $200
New A/C window unit: $300
gasoline: $3.75 a gallon
I'm guessing his problem wouldn't have cost that much to fix and would have been about as easy to fix as it was to rig up a window unit and a generator

LOL...it may look redneck but i bet that gets ice cold.

Thats at least a 5000btu unit which is made to cool about a 10 x 10 room....so yeah.

I could get a window unit for $99 and a generator that size for $150. And maybe he is running the vehicles ac plus the unit??

Hey, what ever it takes to beat this RIDICULOUS heat!:cool: over 40 DAYS of 100 or better here in Wichita so far.

Man, that is NO joke!!!! I was thrilled we had that crazy storm last night...The rain was so hard I couldn't see but 5 feet in front of me on I-135.
