I've had this issue with all exterior and dash lights flickering when cold and humid. On extremely cold days the light are on even if the headlight switch I turned off and the gauges don't work. after a few minutes of driving the lights start flickering and the gauges go crazy. A few more minutes and everything works fine. this has been going on for over several years and is steadily getting worse. I have replaced the battery twice, clock spring twice, headlight switch, checked every ground, checked the alternator, check the power distribution boxes, replaced all relays, completely unplugged the FEM and REM and checked for connector and wiring damage. I'm at a loss.... I took it to the dealer and they say it is bad FEM. But now that I got it back the dash lights don't light up at all and I have a drivers door open warning now. But if it is the FEM wouldn't it only affect to Headlights and some of the front electrical systems, not all the exterior lights??? Unless it is affecting the bus link to all the modules.... To top it off the dealer says the FEM module is discontinued. Please help! I have search and searched the forums and found nothing only remotely related issues. It is a shame because I have kept this car in good condition and it almost looks new.
