Ok, guys, I ordered 50 sq. ft. of Fatmat tonight. I want to quiet down my ride. I am going to tackle the trunk and doors first, since that will be relatively easier than the floor and ceiling.

Anybody got any tips to make this easier? Which parts of the car make the most difference when dampened?

I would like to hear from anyone who has experience in this area.

in general ,most noise in any car comes from the front wheel wells and the firewall.after that the floorpan under driver and passenger ,then the rest (back half of) of the car

the roof would probably be the last part.

rubber undercoating some of the underside/wheel wells will help too.

You don't think the doors would be as important?

Dampem everything you can get to. But it is WAY easier to do the doors with the spray on stuff........much much easier. :Beer

yes they are important,,do it all like he said, but they are not as important as the firewall /front wheel wells on 95% of the cars on the road today,it varies from type of car to type of car.

spray on works good too like 1wyk said.
