That's 0.2 seconds faster than a V-10 powered Audi S6. :)

How is this related to the LS you ask? MKS = new LS, Taurus = cheaper version of MKS, both Taurus and MKS have EcoBoost.

..and two seconds faster than a first gen LS..just to keep it LS related.

Yeah, sorry about that. It is indirectly Lincoln LS related since the MKS replaces the LS, and the MKS and the Taurus share similar mechanical underpinnings, as well as the same EcoBoost engine. :)

man i really like that car. im turning ford more everyday. my friend had a 95 sho with a 5spd. that thing was fun

Love it!!

It won't be a true "SHO" unless it is unbelievably hard to work on though. :D

But is it RWD?

[Scottish accent] If it's not rear wheel drive, it's CRAP![\Scottish accent]

Nope... AWD with the engine mounted the wrong way!

The MkS did NOT replace the LS. There is, nor has been, a replacement for the LS.

Going the wrong way!!!!!

so glad Ford didn't take the bail out money

No but with that so called new SHO they might have to.
Twin turbo 6 cylinder, please give me a break this car will even loose money faster than an LS.
Should have an 8 cylinder plus maybe a compressor like a GTP Pontiac, never seen a twin turbo that will last and is very hard to work on.
IMHO Ford is going the wrong way. :feedback

at least they are making Fords that they want to make, not what the government is mandating

Well, their upcoming Boss/Coyote 5.0L V-8 for the 2011 Mustang outputs 4-500 hp and 4-500 (max 750) lb-ft of torque. Is that enough? :)

There is nothing about the MKS and Taurus that is related to the LS8

The LS is a luxury sedan version of the T-bird, that's it, even look it up! Or better yet, an American S-Type with a T-bird engine

The MKS is the replacement of the Town Car, get it straight!!!!

MKS isn't the Town Car replacement. If you look at Lincoln's sizing chart, it slots closer to the Continental. But since there is as yet no Town Car, Continental, or LS replacement, you could say it replaces all three.

As usual you have it wrong; the T-Bird tribute car was a spin off and came after the Lincoln LS with the Lincoln LS engine.

And the Lincoln ls and Tbird engine was a variant of a Jaguar 4.0 engine.

It does not directly replace the LS, but it replaces the voids left by both the Continental and the LS.

Now you're just changing your tune. :p It most definitely is not an LS replacement. Not even a Conti - the MkZ is the replacement for the Conti. The LS replaced the Mark 8, and there's no current replacement for that. Yet.
