I've seen this LSE on this forum!!!!

hmm... Mine's a month older than it, and I only have about 2,750 or so miles. Now I really feel like putting it on eBay.

Too stock to be anyone here. :D

I wonder if that's a repo or a program car. Someone had it just long enough to depreciate. :(

New 2006s are going for $10K under MSRP now. So one like that (Premium package, but not the Elite package) would be around $33K brand new. I guess I'll have to watch it to see what happens.

It's not that I want to get rid of it, but I kinda want an '06 Monotone Black/Camel Navigator, or maybe a Range Rover Sport... but chances are I'll probably wind up keeping the LS for at least another year. I guess I'm more into SUV's?

Hey! Mine's stock! haha jk... well, unless you consider my plastic floormat covers a "mod."

Why are they going for that cheap?

It's a last production year model and they want to make sure they move in time for an early 2007 release of something new, is my bet.

When I bought in February, there were $3000 incentives to the customer and $5000 to the dealer. The dealer where I bought (Witt in San Diego) agreed to pass all of this through plus a discount. I paid $37,222 + T&L for mine (all options except heated rear seats). I just looked on Edmunds and the $5K dealer incentive is still on, but the customer cash-back is down to $1000 for March.

I would never have bought the LS if I had had to pay the $48K MSRP. That much money will buy a very nice BMW 530i or Infiniti M35. The LS is nice, but it can't compete at $48K. Anyway, at the time, I had a deposit down on a Chrysler 300C SRT-8 for $46K and change. I decided the extra HP wasn't worth the 8 grand premium and drove a 300C to compare with the LS. The rest is history. :D

Anyway, with the discounts, the 2006 LS is comparing more with a loaded Nissan Maxima or Toyata Avalon. Nice cars, but front-wheel drive? Yech! And let's face it, they're not Lincolns. :p

P.S. Witt Lincoln-Mercury in San Diego is a good place to buy, but whatever you do, DO NOT let their detailing people touch your car! A bunch of ham-fisted idiots who apparently don't know how to use a circular buffer without ruining the finish.

For some odd reason I was under the impression the 06's only came with the V6 power plant...

Now i know better.
You're 180 degrees off; the '06es only come with the 3.9L V8 mill. They're also all in what's basically LSE trim.

Wow, only $26,000. Ouch. Maybe because it had 7,500 miles already?
Not Sold at $26,600--the auction's over, but it says Reserve Not Met. I'm betting that the reserve's in excess of $30K, which is not out of line for a used '06.

If you look at Edmunds, the late model used LSes have actually leveled off in price. I just checked my '04 V8, and, despite having put 18,000 miles on it since I bought it, it's only dropped $500-$3000, depending on how I rate the condition and which level (private/trade/dealer) I use. As a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, it's actually worth more than I paid for it.

The new LSes have big discounts because they're not selling well; sales have picked up in the last month or so, but before that, they were in the tank. Of course, now that the end's in sight...you can no longer order a new LS; the sales queue closed on March 1st. If you want one of the last new LSes, you have to find what you want in stock somewhere...

I still owe 20K on my 2003 with 32K miles.

Glad I got 0% financing and don't plan to sell cause I suspect I am still a bit upside down.
