Can someone describe to me how the marks shift with the J-mod, ppl say it shifts like it should, can I get a description on how it should shift and it fixes the hard shift into 2nd but how does it shift into 2nd at wot with J-mod? Is it still hard or smoother?

If your car shifts hard into second now, you probably need the updated 1-2 shift accumulator piston and springs. You can do that when you do the J mod if you want to do both at once.

I have a J mod trans. It will shift harder into 2nd and 3rd when you go WOT. It puts a huge grin on my face.:)

I feel it shift around town too, but it depends on how much gas pedal you're giving it.

The best thing would be to try driving a J modded Mark.

I love it.

I love the shift kit i had put in.

It was custom made by scp but its basically the same thing.

itll chirp second like no tommorw (sometimes even with no more then 1/2 throttle)

I will warn you. and most of you should remember. if youre doing this yourself make sure u know what you are doing.

I completly screwed myself over in this deal, 1300 bucks tto fix.

so think about it
1300 bucks
or
150 bucks to install

i did it without the lower 1-2 spring. shifts VERY hard at wot. light throttle its fine. no lag between shifts.

you are opening up fluid passages to let more fluid through faster. so its there faster. it runs cooler. and there is less strain on everything because of that. from what i understand. things like the rear end, and axes, universals would probably see more stress, but still shouldnt exceed its tolerence.

A faster shift means the clutches aren't slipping as much, meaning less wear on them and less heat introduced into the fluid.
