Jamie, How was your first day????

He's still sleeping LOL...

He was moaning on chat that he was tired LOL...

I'm wondering if he did the dreaming that you were at work all night so you wake up and then feel like you have never left work... LOL

i previously worked there. i left on good terms though, we got so busy with the lincoln crap it was a choice of one or the other, so i left, but now, the parts stuff is such a joke that its time to go back to the one i should have stuck with. first 4 days flew by and i already have one of the guys upset because we are working on cleaning up some railings for a doctor's house, he wants all the welds blended so you cant tell the stuff is welded, well the other guy in the shop has had the same piece of railing on his saw horses for 6 days, i have a stack of 13 railings against my table that are done and ready for powder coating, even the boss said why could i have started weeks ago lol. the only thing different there are all the faces but one, but other than that it felt like i just took a long vacation, i already know the whole building, where everything is, and what to do, so its a breeze with the bonus of a paycheck. my boss already offered me overtime over a few of the other guys, and next month me and 3 others will be working 8 twelve hour days at McDill air force base installing a few ramps and railings on two of the municipal buildings, the boss is the new owner, he bought the company from my old boxx 7 months ago so he doesnt know me, but he's already happy he hired me back, specially after seeing how i smoked this other guy getting the railings prepped!! its just good to be at work again.

Awesome, glad to hear things aren't too stressful. They always get pi$$y when the "new guy" shows them up, but it's not your fault he sucks!

Cool - glad to hear the new (old) job is working out!

Yea congrats Jamie, have to have a rep call on us at Saint leo we often need stuff like that.

guess no free time to help with control arms tho huh :(

i offered to do it for you like 3 months ago now that im back at work i'm not working on anyone's stuff anymore unless its my own. i spent half of the 9 years doing his lincoln stuff waiting for people to show or buy things when they said they would, i had enough of it.

it wasnt really a rant, just sick of it. people say they are coming, or they want me to fix something, i never hear back, or they are coming to my shop, so i go to the shop, they dont show, they wants parts, i give prices, they fall off the earth, i can only take so much, its just like people on craigslist, craigslist is full of people like that. i am not pointing fingers at you jeff, its happend to me a million times.
thank you for the job congrats though, it was long overdue going back to work.

at the time back then you had some used contol arms and my wife was unemployed lol, She just started back working and it looks as tho the cash is going to be freed up to work on my car, my luck I guess,

i'm not bitter about being broke and unemployed, it was all my doing, no one to blame but myself, but what i am bitter about is all the time i have wasted on people for nothing. not to mention all the people i have helped, the cars i have fixed, and the time i have spent on anything to do lincoln, for nearly nothing. i'm not the one who collects the money from stuff sold, and i'm pretty fed up with the whole deal.

my father in law, where it has been going for 9 years, the only time i see money is if we make more back on the car than we pay for it, or if i sell something of my own, like the headlights i have for sale, those are mine, they are not part of our stash. i've been getting the dicked end of this deal since day 1 you can see why i hate every aspect of it now.
