I don't think Jaz-Z is buying influence, Obama is simply enjoying the adulation from the entertainment community.
But it does represent a break-down in security and respect for the office. The Situation Room isn't like going into the Lincoln Bedroom. You used to need security clearance or be a head of state to go in there.
