There is a reason it is cheap. It is a chrysler product which is cheap anyway you look at price or quality. I owned one jeep and that will be my only jeep.

-BARF- :yuck: Don't do that! Go with the SRT8 Cherokee, like LS8Sport said. I rode in one of those and it just felt like a real lightweight car, that could fall apart. I didin't drive the thing becasue I wanted to sit in the back and be unseen, but I'm sure the steering would have been pretty loose as well.

Just proves what you know about Chrysler.............

I have owned many Chrysler products in the past and have a Dodge Ram 4X4 right now. I have to say without a doubt that they are the best vehicles that I have ever owned. Much better than any of the POS GM products that I have owned, and on an equal par with my FOMOCO products. I would take just about anything that Chrysler has to offer now over anything that GM or Ford offers.

Get real, then you are the lucky one.

Good friend of mine bought a new 99 4x4 1/2ton Ram 1500 or whatever with the 318. It eats front end parts like crazy, has had several overheating problems, problems with converters, heater core is out. 5 yrs old less than 100k and completely falling apart, he stopped driving it a year ago and just lets it sit. It needs the heater core and a bunch of front work before he can start driving it again. He got a old Pontiac 6000 for free from a family member and beats around in that instead. Oh yea it got terrible gas mileage like 12.

Another good friend of mine has a 95 Grand Cherokee. Nice but again eats front end parts and lost a tranny around 100k He gets 13mpg with that 318.

I bought my 98 F150 in the very end of 2003 with 48k, I ran it for the daily grind for 18months up to 93k, and now my wife drives it, got about 110k now. All I have done is basic maintenance IMO. Knock on wood.

Edit: and it gets between 17-19mpg.

Umm, you want a vehicle that will last you forever...a Toyota or Lexus is the way to go. MY father bought the LS400 used back in 2000 with about 20,000 miles on it and drive it to about 115,000 and gave it to me. I ran it to 180,000 and all I did was change oil, and took it in for services, and never had a problem with it. EVER, period. Still wish I didn't drive home that night...
