I have been looking at beater trucks, going to need one soon for hauling sheet rock 2x4s decking etc.

This one is just a little on the rusty side. :D

Did not know that old ford pickup (with a 6cyl) would sell for that amount. One of my installers just sold his ford f250 diesel for just over that. It was in surprisingly great shape too.

You really prefer an SUV style? I'd shoot for an extended cab long box. Especially for hauling lumber and sheetrock.

I am bronco crazy, first one I had was a 66 also had a lifted 70.
First "newer" truck I bought was a 85- straight six NP granny low four speed, love the bull nose fords. Had many after that one.
Awesome trucks.
Tailgate down it can haul what I will need.
K5s are ok, still bleed ford blue.

that f150 is clean. but i wouldn't touch anything that wasn't an extended cab and 4 wheel drive. just personal preference i guess.

4x4 is a must.
Only be used to haul crap and those winter days that you must have 4x4.
It might be a month before I can pull the trigger.
Those 80s-90s extended cab's are butt ugly.

This is hard to pass up, but its out of budget.

That’s a sexy truck, I’ve always loved the late 80's F series. Too bad there more rust then paint on most of the ones you find up here. I use my Town Car for just about hauling anything but there are times when you just need an 8 foot bed and 4 wheels spinning. If my job situation keeps getting better like it has I would love to get a 2014 F series so I can haul the 1914 around with it.
