I'm new to this type of car. It as 79000 miles and is in beautiful condition. Is there anything I need to know about this car. Also any tricks to get more power out of it. Thanks for any advice. Went from a modified 98 gt to this. I love the car. How reliable are they?

Thanks again,
tony

If you take car of this car, it will take care of you for many years. My Opinion! My 98, from 118k to 142K in a year and still goin.

Mods, go all K&N filters, Premium gas, higher flow mufflers. . You could be looking 290Hp plus.

Also, be sure to change your fluids on time or early. - And use quality stuff, dont go for cheap oil.

Conti:

1. The transmission!

2. Air suspension parts

3. Electronics starting to wig out.

Those are really the only 3 major parts that fail on these cars. Besides those the car is actually pretty damn tough.

1. Get a aux. tranny cooler installed, change fluid every 30K and use syn. Mercon V, and maybe even a chip/shift kit to strenghten shifts, get on your knees and pray the tranny doesn't blow up. These are about the only things to do and hope the crappy AX4N doesn't decide to take a dump.

2. Well the main killer here is dry rot. So.........don't let it dry rot? haha

3. Not much preventive main. here
