I have just bought a 2000 Lincoln LS - 94k on the clock and full service history. Seems a really solid vehicle and i loved the drive and the look. The one thing i did notice when i test drove it was that the brakes were stiff/hard. This is in comparison to my 2001 BMW 530 whose brakes felt a lot softer. The seller has had a mechanic inspection today to cert and e test the vehicle and the mechanic said the brakes and rotors are fine. I was wondering wether there was anything to worry about the stiff brakes or is this just standard on the Lincoln LS?

Heres hoping for a reliable time with my new Lincoln and thanks in advance for your support.

From my limited experience, the brakes on many other cars require a softer touch. I have two LS's and have done brake jobs on both (due to normal wear). Through it all, the pedal feel has been the same and requires more force than the Maxima, Focus, and Impala that I recently rented. I have no complaints with the LS brakes. They work very well and the car stops very quickly when you stomp on them. You just need to get used to the way they feel.

Thanks joegr thats what i thought just wanted to check with those that know!!
