Picked up a nice 2001 Continental in Autumn Red with 126K miles for $2495! I really like the car and it will take some time to get used to all the gadgets and displays. Known issues include the little sunglasses compartment by the moon roof wont stay closed and the rear passenger side pwr door lock is not working (makes noise bu no movement)

Besides personalizing with stuff like floor mats and wheel steering wheel covers, what do you guys recommend doing as far as "must do upgrades" or improvements?

Regards, Chet

Congrats! The Continental is a nice car. Looks like you got a good deal, I am a huge Cadillac Deville fan, but I always liked the Continentals, if I was going to get a Lincoln that's probably the one I would get, I really like how you can control the different touring mode settings, something I wish Deville had. A car like the continental is a nice cruising down the highway car, I wouldn't upgrade much except for the things you mentioned, they really did a good job designing it I don't think there is much you could do to improve looks.

I'm kind of fond of my kilometers speedometer blackout mod :D

Just click the bold text in my sig for pictures.

The air intake silencer removal is a nice easy mod to do, I did it while I had my bumper off to install a new chrome grille so it was super easy. I'm an audiophile so my first suggestion is changing out the radio and speakers, as well as disconnecting the rear woofers if you have them.

Dang did you get an amazing deal on that car by the way, I bought mine this spring with 161k on her for $3000, seller was originally asking $4000. Neither of my rear doors unlock anymore without doing it manually from the inside.
