So I had tried the new system where you have to sand it in and wipe it over with the hardening compound. It seems that it worked out rather well so far?

They were really clouded up and didn't have much light output even with the DLF headlight conversion

But now it lets me see my chromes flaking off :(
It took me longer than I thought it would and you need six hours for it to dry but otherwise I like how it came out :D

I used the 3M kit last year but all glazed over real fast and really killed my light output. So hopefully this'll finally fix the problem.

Looks real good! And yeah now you can see the fading Chrome easier but..still looks way better.

I'm fairly sure I could do another in half an hour if I did it again. However even after all the sanding is done you still have to wait six hours for the hardener to cure :(

So went outside after one half hours last night check the headlights. It seemed completely cured so I drove it and they look fine. All in all it looks like complete success and I recommend that kit. That is until it hazes up again later and then I curse the company out

I don't get it. What needs to dry? Is it like a coating that goes on after the sanding?

Yes it's thick urethane coating that gets wiped on after you have wet sanded lights. That and the urethane supposed to harden and never dull again. That remains to be seen though?

any update on this 3M kit? I'm wondering about the wipe new headlight restorer? Anyone try this?

Thanks Everyone,

I'm going to try lapping paper at 5 microns - equivalent to 4k. Used for when really flat surfaces are needed. I will let you know.
