So I was finally able to take the LS on a road trip to Pennsylvania twice in a week and was happy to say that I was able to go and come freely without much trouble. On the way I got the battery light again and the dreaded E along with a CEL. The alternator was charging the battery at a steady pace of 13.7-13.9 volts even with the light on so I really can't say it's the alternator. With the E, the CEL pulled was for P0705. Other than that the car drove perfectly thanks to the help on this forum! Thanks guys!
