Kale, say it ain't so!

All the old timers are dropping like flies. I figured there would be a few of us that would keep our paid off cars for the next 20 years until they turned collectors. Oh whoa is me.

Im here! Not dumping my mark - I'll have it even when its a Classic

Same here - I'll have my 93 Mark VIII and my 85 Mark VII along with my 98 Mark VIII that I don't have yet and my new Mark VII that I want to get also.

Hmmmm.... that's 4 might as well get one for the thumb....

He IS??? Say it aint so bro!

I can not blame him at times, it does take ALOT of work to do anything to the Mark VIII. I think they look kool without a bunch of mods, I mean, I love seeing them on the road, and at shows. But, it does take more to do custom things to these cars than most of the other cars on the road. It does make you mad in a sense.

BUT, on the same hand, I will not get rid of my car....unless it is stolen or wrecked, and if any of that happens....I will prolly buy yet another one. I am looking at purchasing another one in the very near future so I can take the 'Barney Mobile' off da road so I can start working on it, and not have to use it to go places. And, when it is done, it will no longer be the 'Barney Mobile'....at least the color will not be the same....AHEM......Kale!!!! (hahahaha)

So, I can understand why he would want to get rid of it.......in some manner. The ONLY reason I still own a Mark VIII is due to the LOD. If I did not find the ORIGINAL LOD, I would be a BMW owner. I was SOOOOOO close to trading the AssassinVIIIor in on a BMW M3. I stumbled across the LOD and found out that there IS ppl out there that modify the Mark VIII that I decided to keep mine......

LOD definitely helped me prolong my love affair for the Mark VIII. I think I'd probably still have it without the existance of LOD, but it wouldn't be as nice, and I surely wouldn't have quite as much cash in my pocket (not that I have a lot anyways).

The car looks simply incredible IMHO and it definitely turns heads and starts conversations. It amazes me how the appeal of the car crosses so many different age groups and ethnicities. One day I'll be pulling out of Walmart and get stopped by a Mexican guy who saw me hit the switches, the next day I'll have a senior citizen ask me what kind of car it is and ***get this*** if the wheels are stock...LOL! :) I thought that was pretty funny. I even had someone ask me if it was "lowered"...LOL!

Life situations change and people get old. That's why I have a 4-door Caddy now and my Lincoln is not back on the road. The whole air-suspension/switches thing is old news - BTDT. I mean I love it and all, and the stance is awesome, but it's just old I think. Kinda like bangin' Halle Berry every night...I don't care how fine she is, it gets old after awhile...

I don't really need to sell the car, and I don't really want to sell the car, but it's always nice to have cash. The main thing I don't have is time, unlike last year when I had more than I knew what to do with. Besides, if I ever wanted to get another one, they're frickin CHEAP!

So far......it ain't so!!!.
