hey guy i ordered the nav face plate form team ford and am know building the face plate so far its coming good, just making some mounting brakets now. I'll keep u guys posted

so u ordered everything from ford for the frame on the THX/NAV but instead of the THX ur putting the DDx 7017?

no i ordered the nav radio bezel form www.teamfordparts.com and just cut out the stuff i didn't need it looks great no need for that extra pice they give u with the aftermarket deck that covers the outside

yeah it should be on the right hand side scroll down abit then u should see it. its by the rare items Radio bezel, 2000+ Lincoln LS Double Din Item Number: LSCXB7756
update: brackets are done and about to start painting the bezel flat black will post pics when complete

Flame,

Keep us updated. I have been wanting to do the exact same thing with my 04 but using the Alpine W200 instead of the Kenwood. I love the double din look of the THX but it must keep the factory class of the vehicle or else I wont do it. I hate the black plastic "install kit" that you can get anywhere (best buy, walmart, crutchfield) for pennies, just doesnt retain the theme of the vehicle.

Post some pics when you are finished, I am dieing to see it done.

Hey, why didn't you flush mount it?
because the deck is pretty long and i wanted to have room in the back for the wires and stuff. what i did was line it up with where the screen and the deck begins.:D

I have the exact same deck in my ls with nav and it sits flush. And it sits straight. I think it looks more factory that way.

I agree there isn't much room back there. Those that flush mount them say the toughest part of the job was getting all the wiring, etc back in place. I guess it's a bitch...but doable.
