Kerry's Iraq Plan goes down in flames. Ya, he'll make a great President. I guess his Iraq plan is down to training troops (faster), holding elections (earlier), and retreating and surrendering (sooner).

Kerry says Franco-German troops unlikely

Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry conceded yesterday that he probably will not be able to convince France and Germany to contribute troops to Iraq if he is elected president.
The Massachusetts senator has made broadening the coalition trying to stabilize Iraq a centerpiece of his campaign, but at a town hall meeting yesterday, he said he knows other countries won't trade their soldiers' lives for those of U.S. troops.
"Does that mean allies are going to trade their young for our young in body bags? I know they are not. I know that," he said.

Asked about that statement later, Mr. Kerry said, "When I was referring to that, I was really talking about Germany and France and some of the countries that had been most restrained."

Can't this guy ever make a statement and then stand by his words without a disclaimer? Just one time Mr. Kerry. Prove to me you can say something and stand by it just once.

:I

Kerry has no idea what hes talking about, he mentions his plans, and whenever asked about specifics changes the subject..

At least Kerry hasn't committed the ultimate SIN of selling our soldier's BLOOD for OIL.

Save a life. Sell your car and start walking pal.

As is typical of GOP distortion, such drastic measures would not be required.

We get < 1/3 or our oil from the Middle East. If we completely STOPPED buying oil from that source, the laws of economics would predict that the price of gas would only increase by < 33%. Am I willing to pay $2.67/gal instead of $2.00/gal for gas to avoid bloodshed of our American troops? HELL YEAH! ANY AMERICAN WHO IS UNWILLLING TO MAKE SUCH A SACRAFICE AT THE PUMP SHOULD BE DEPORTED!!

I'm with you. I'd gladly pay $2.67 a gallon to stop using Middle-East oil. The laws of supply and demand would lower their price because of excess capacity. Good for the rest of the world. OPEC would self destruct if we stopped buying.

I really don't want to hear about any poor-people crap. Gas at $2.67 a gallon is still half of what it is in Europe. At less than $10.00 a week extra in gas expenses we're talking nothing compared to the loss of one US soldier's life.

WMDs, my ass. It's all about oil.

If it were as easy as paying a little more at the pump, then why isn't Kerry using this against Bush? (that's a rhetorical question, but I'm interested to see if someone has an intelligent answer)

Because nearly 1/2 of the voting public still believes that we invaded Iraq because it was connected to Al-Quida and Saddam was an ever-increasing threat with stockpiles of WMDs, CONTRARY to the FACTS that have been released TODAY by GW's hand-picked US weapons inspector.

ADDITIONALLY, to the RICH, who's kids don't have to resort to joining the armed services to make it in the world, spilling someone elses blood for oil is of no consequence. Therefore this approach would make no sense to them.

ADDITIONALLY, to the POOR, who's kids DO have to resort to joining the armed services to make it in the world, talk of increasing gas prices is unsettling as it will be perceived as making it harder on them. Therefore this approach would make no sense to them.

It's a catch-22.

I find it very interesting that Johnny must use CAPS to get his point across. This is why its hard to have a civilized political discussion anywhere.

I agree with Monster, Johnny. If you don't want to buy oil from the middle east, start walking.

I can't help but interpret your and Bryan's suggestions as an admission that OIL (and the resulting profits to be had by GW and his "associates") is the only reason we invaded Iraq.

BOOT BUSH! STOP THE BLOODSHED FOR OIL!!

LOL, oh man I laughed good when I read that Johnny.

Are you proposing the George Bush, our president, and his "associates" made money off of the Iraq war?

I look at facts, and things that I notice, like that john kerry has no idea what he's talking about, and no real plans. Not something some dick, I assume you heard that in that movie I refuse to see by michael moore(left uncapitalized purposely.), puts in a movie with no real evidence.

The French Exposed

Saddam Hussein used a U.N. humanitarian program to pay $1.78 billion to French government officials, businessmen and journalists in a bid to have sanctions removed and U.S. policies opposed, according to a CIA report made public yesterday.

Did you know that we are soon going to be seeing some video footage of John Kerry fleeing the Capital building after the plane had hit the Pentagon? The women trying to get their shoes off to go down the steep side staircase are passed over by a John Kerry more interested in saving his own skin. He looks left, looks right, adjusts his hair and flys down the staircase and never looked back. As you picture him in his tidy blue suit flying down the stairs, contrast that vision with that of Donald Rumsfeld ignoring his Secret Service detail so he can help injured people get out of the Pentagon. Real nice Johnny.

The pretender will be exposed.

by the way, give kbob some credit :)
I've been trying to get some credit out of that guy for a while now, but he won't go above $1000. I was actually enjoying Johnny's logic in this thread. I was trying to give him enough rope to hang himself. He claimed that Kerry hadn't committed the ultimate sin, but I think there are a few hundred thousand Vietnam vets that would probably refute that. Then there was his "catch 22" post, and I think his point was that Demo's are liars too cause it's all politics (I don't necessarily disagree with that broad statement, just the particulars) and that only middle class people are really against a "war for oil". Pretty much sums it up for me . . . DOH! ;)
