Is there a way to disconnect the keypad keyless entry system on the MKZ without having to buy the new computer?

Had the base code stolen and know it''s some punk in my neighborhood that'll come back and enter the car with the code.

You can change the passcode if you know the original...
I don't know about disconnecting it-
Call the dealership.

i haven't seen anyway to eliminate the factory code, if you program another the original will sitll work, i think a new DDM (drivers door module, i think its in there) is what you will need to get a new code

You are correct sir. $300 for that module. $700 installed. But the car is a company so they will cover it for me.
I want to cut the wires going to the keypad itself. THen reconnect when I return the car from lease.
On the plus I got to drive the Mark I got from the devil.

you can just unplug the keypad harness...dont cut the wires.

Are you serious. Why didnt I realize there would probably be a connector.

Would that cause a code, chime or any other annoying feature?

ive seen them go bad, and didnt cause any other problems except it didnt work, just pull the plug

Disconnect the connector and splice the wires into the horn relay.
lol
