Went to look at a 04 V8 yesterday. For 147k miles, it was mechanically sound. No cracked plastic cooling components; pretty much everything was golden. ~95% of the electronics worked great! As I was about to leave to grab some cash, I (or I thought) locked the doors, and just wanted to make sure I locked the doors. Went to open the passenger front door, the alarm went off. Thought I didn't lock it, so I went to the driver side to lock all the doors, despite the alarm going off. It opened again. Found the problem, which can be easily fixed. Went to check all doors (which should have been locked), and all were open, except for the driver door. Keyless entry pad only locked the driver door. Locking the car from inside with the button also only locked the driver door. Key also only locked the driver door. Went to look at Fuse #7, which controls the PCM and the Alarm system, but figured the car wouldn't even start if this was blown. I don't have the slightest idea what could cause this.

Also, the rear passenger door ajar warning is on, even though it's closed. The locking mechanism cap (for a lack of better terms) is broken. Door does not open. Maybe a combination of a door actuator and a bad locking solenoid?

I would move on. As far as I know, the door actuators are no longer available.

The DDM (Driver's Door Module) sends commands via the CAN bus to the REM (Rear Electronics Module) for the rear and passenger door locks, and for the rear windows. If you can control the rear windows from the driver's door, then the issue is likely to be a driver inside the REM or in the wiring from the REM to the other doors.
The PCM is not involved at all with any of this.

Assuming the wiring is in good condition, I'll be looking at replacing the REM, which is anywhere from $40-$75 on eBay. Windows do roll down, controlling it from the driver side. Also looking at $100 for a rear door actuator, and a few more dollars doing knick knacks to prevent the car from being broken into. Thanks joegr!
