he is a real street fighter, not a UFC fighter, I trhink with a little training, and discipline, he might make a good fighter

Well besides he got his ass kicked by a smaller and unknown guy, How do you know he didn't lose any street fights that just weren't posted on you tube? Would you post your bad fights up if you were trying to get well known for being a great fighter. And what skill did those guys he beat have? How would he do against a boxer? We know he can't hang in MMA.

He fought bums on in the youtube videos.
So far, he's been pathetic as a professional fighter.
Maybe he's learned a ground game and some stamina.

Did he get kicked in the throat or what?

He got beat in a main event by a guy who found out that day he was fighting.

Something smells fishy here. I can't even see where the kick landed that felled the almighty Kimbo.

maybe he was paid big to fall. That opponent is from Florida so maybe his richie parents paid Kimbo off...one loss of many wins can't be bad for the guy....

He's a punk. Just wait until you see the new season of The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV.

PUNK

Kimbo is a beast. The EliteXC fight was complete bull$hit, the company went bankrupt 16 days later. This is straight from wiki: On October 4, 2008, prominent EliteXC fighter, Kimbo Slice, lost via early knockout to late replacement fighter Seth Petruzelli. The unexpected outcome of this fight drew a great deal of attention, and subsequent comments by Petruzelli that he was offered a monetary bonus to employ certain techniques during the fight (comments he later recanted and obfuscated), raised the question of undue influence by EliteXC representatives in fights. Significant debt incurred by parent company Pro Elite with no investors or buyers showing interest[8] caused the subsequent cancellation of the November 8, 2008 event. Combined with the Florida State Athletic Commission launching an investigation into the Slice/Petruzelli fight, Pro Elite announced on October 20, 2008 that they would cease operations.

If there was a fight where he got knocked out, I am positive they would have posted it! ALso, he is a street fighter, he had no training, street fighters dont train, they can't hang with boxers, or MMA fighters. Take away the martial arts from a MMA fighter and have him get in the ring as a street fighter, who would win? I dont know if you have ever taken combatives, but you dont need much size or alot of muscle to come out victorious.

Street fighter are not finesse* guys, they go for the knock-out, they also get tired fast as hell, I just know one thing, I would not even think about stepping into the ring with Kimbo Slice.

Kimbo did get knocked out in one of his street fights, by some Boston Cop, iirc.

By the way the UFC and Spike TV is trumping Kimbo's presence on the show, it's safe to say he does at least fairly well. As I doubt they'd be doing so if he lost his first fight.

No, that was a MMA fight.
It was a boring fight too.

Maybe. But I bet you have to wait until the end of the season before you see him fight any credible fighter.

all i gotta say is no one in here would fight kimbo, if he got his ass kicked or not, even the baddest dudes in the world get their ass kicked, doesnt mean they cant put any of us in the I.C.U !!!!!

I remember it was in some gym on floor mats. Okay though.

Probably.

So? I can probably add and subtract numbers in my head faster.

kimbo has plenty of training, bas rutten (possibly the greatest of all time) has tried to train him but his head is so big he thinks he doesnt have to listen so he sucks. ufc is better off without him, hope he gets smashed but fat chance on that one.

I had no idea this guy was so well known. I'm always the last one hear stuff.
These guys like Kimbo are huge do they do it naturaly you think or are they on the juice?

Yes I know you don't need size or muscle to win a fight, and as I know plenty about combatives. But in MMA they try and match you with guys your size and similiar in skill when you first start. And he looked ridiculous in there. And most street fighters make good boxers, where do you think they found Tyson at? He was 14 and knocking grown men out in street fights and well you see where he ended up. I would rather take a shot from Kimbo than Tyson any time. And like most boxers, street fighters aren't use to seeing kicks thrown, But like anyone who knows about street fights 80% of them end up on the ground. Your average every day guy is conditioned to stand and fight toe to toe with some one else. After 30 seconds most people are out of breath. And if you were trying to earn big money and make it big would you post losing fights of yourself? I don't think so.

Kimbo will not make it in the UFC. Unless, he gets involved with a good camp to train him. Couture, Jackson, ATT, AKA, etc... He is tough enough, but he is not skilled enough to compete at the top level of MMA. He will sell PPV for sure. He has a HUGE internet following. His fans would pay to see him fight two midgets and a bearded lady. Hes nothing more then a side show freak fight. Every heavyweight on the planet knows at this point how to beat him, Take him to the ground or deep into the fight and make him gas.

I do have to add. His fighting style does make for exciting fights.

That Boston cop is now a MMA fighter, too.

As far as Kimbo, as a heavyweight, he has a chance to get a few wins by just being fearless and always going for the KO punch, but he's just as likely to get taken down and submitted. Look at Lesnar-Mir I: Mir was getting pummeled but once he was on the ground, his superior skills made Brock tap.
If any of you guys saw UFC 102 with Randy and Minotauro, you cant possibly tell me Kimbo would have the slightest idea how to defend a guillotine or a brabo choke? Yes, with enough time and hard work, he can be one of the better heavyweights, but isnt he already in his 30's?
