After owning my '04 for about a week and a half I decided to take the plunge and order the KKM Induction Kit for LS Koncepts. I ordered it on Friday the 14th and it was at my door on Wednesday the 19th...pretty fast in my book!

So I rush home and crack upon the box...everything's there and looks great and I'm ready to install. Read through the instructions and find out that a torx t20 bit is required to remove the sensor. I check and sure enough all I have is the larger size torx set...no t20 A quick trip to Sears and we're back in business. About 20 minutes later everything is in and back together.

A quick blast down the freeway and the verdict is in. It is a little louder, but not that much more...it sounds good. Now I can't say for sure that it makes more power, but it does FEEL like it makes more power. The biggest improvement though is throttle response...seems much quicker and easier to rev. That alone is worth the price.

Next step is custom tunes and then custom exhaust to follow.

I really don't want to burst your bubble, but I thought about doing the same to my '03 LS Sport. Instead, I knocked the bottom out of the air box (per instructions in the Tech forum). I got a good sound, better throttle response, and I didn't have to shop at Sears.

On the other hand, I am going to switch over to a different setup in a month, or two. I suppose I'll be able to see, or feel, the difference then.

No bubbles burst...I knew there was a much cheaper option. As a matter of fact I did the obligatory air box mod and K&N filter in both my 89 & 90 5.0l Mustangs. Also modded the air box in my 02 Focus and dropped an ITG filter in that one.

Just decided to do something else this time. I like the idea of being able to swap back to the intact stock set up for warranty work should I need to do so.

just ordered my kit and hopefully it will be here soon..
really looking forward to installing it :)

Glad to hear the shipping was quick. As for the unit itself, you should notice more power over time. The PCM will need a bit to re-calculate air flow and you should notice an increase in power very quickly. You'll notice it one day when you least expect it!
