I have a set of used long tube headers for a mark viii I would like 400.00 plus shipping for them. They are in good useable condition. They have some minor dings and slight rust as they were on the car for about a year.

I was 2nd in line to contact him, he sent me pics last night.

I decided to pass on them

The 2 year old Kooks headers on my Minnesota car are stainless and are "bluing" from heat, but that's about it. How in the world did the primaries get dented up? Looks like someone got pissed off when they were installing them.

Those look bad for 1 year...

I'd be pissed if i bought new kooks and they looked like that in a year....all of the Mark kooks are now being made in only Stainless with the option to coat the stainless...but also carry an $1100 price tag (stainless and coated)

Those are obviously not stainless, also in the second picture there are two large dents in the header tubes.... by the time the dents were fixed, the headers stripped, and then coated your almost at the cost of a new set

However, in current condition its a good price for someone wanting to make their mark breath, we all know the price of kooks isnt going to come down...its only going to go up...

hahahaha...i was thinking the same thing.

Man, you guys are too picky for it being less than half the price of new ones...they're just headers, you can't see sh*t below the valve covers in a mark viii's engine bay anyways, just clean them up and don't worry about the two dents, you really think that's going to hurt the flow that much?? They're still just as functional as new ones.

Functional, yes, but if they look like a bag of asses when they're only 1 yr old, imagine another year or so...

I'd want to strip and recoat them...

That's what you get with Kooks coating. Honestly the coating on most headers is junk unless you pay a high quality company to coat them. These came off an ohio car that was driven year round so any flaws in the coating turn into a mess. The dents are no where near as bad as they appear. However I like to disclose every little detail about the items I sell. They guys who removed the engine dented them. They are however sold and I thank the forums for that. I feel most people havent dealt with the mess that they coat ohio and pa roads with it is nasty! I could post some pictures of cars that are only a few years old you wouldn't believe, fasteners that are nearly unrecognizable. It's just a fact of life up here. Couple that with a sub par coating and this is what happens. These headers coupled with a custom tune and free flowing exhaust made really good power gains on our dyno!
