I have an 06 LS V8. I noticed the other day that there was a little bit of fluid on the driveway on the Passengers side front end. That happens to be where the trash can is kept so I didn't think much of it. Yesterday after driving to a friends house I noticed just a little leaking about a hand leangth under the front bumper on the passengers side. ( close to the fog lamp for a sense of where on the passengers side) On the drive home the heat was blowing cold for most of the time, got warm about a mile from the house. I kept watching the Temp gauge and it was normal until the heat starting blowing warm, at that point it was almost to the top of the middle range. The hot engine light did not come on. When we got home and shut the car off I notice in the road and the driveway that it was leaking ( enough to leave a trail) again on the front passengers side.

At this point the degas bottle is empty so I would assume that the raditor is as well. I do not think that this is the common Degas Bottle issue considering that there is no leaking on the ground where the degas bottle is.

Any other thougths or common issues that this might be?

I would check your radiator hoses and start there.

I had a similar leak in the same spot. Turned out to be the upper rad hose

Yes it is. I have not heard of anyone leaking coolant from a failing/failed DCCV though.

I have heard of both the DCCV and the aux pump (same location) leaking. I have had a leak in the plastic section of the upper radiator hose (also the same location). Lastly, I have head of the radiator [plastic] side tanks leaking.

Does not appear to be the hose..... It stayed dry, however there is what appears to be a mounting bolt and bracket under the upper hose. That is where the collant is running out... Not sure if the radiator is cracked or what?

Thinking this just became expensive!! Any idea of the shop time to replace this? I found several online ranging from 140 to 255. I would think that a radiator is a radiator unless you are looking for serious high performance. For the stock oem replacement I would think the 140.00 would be just fine???
