I changed out a set today and they blew my fuses. I just put back in my oem bulbs...I know some of you guys have changed them out to LED's. What brand did you get? Led's are supposted to use less power to run right? So why would my fuses blow?

that's messed up :shifty: I've changed out all the lighting in my conti my interiors all led with Varad Blue LEDS and my exterior lights are PIA Xenon White Bulbs and Streetglow Xenon White headlights and i've had no problems. Check Varad at cardomain.com/shop or type up auto leds in google and it should come up with a list of sites ;) Goodluck

From what I've read, you normally have to put a load resistor on the LED taillights, or they won't draw enough current, and the car will think they're out. If you blew the fuses, I'm guessing there has to be a short in there somewhere.

I had them in my tails about a year or so ago. The "Check X Light" came on for both tails so they didn't draw enough current. They were also much dimmer than regular bulbs so I sent them back and stuck with the regular halogen tails. Some of the bulbs are dual purpose... meaning that they have to plug into the harness one way, otherwise they won't work correctly. That also might explain the short circuit.

I am running them in my rear turn signals and no problems... sometimes when I start my car remotely(aftermarket) the bulb out light comes on but when I turn on the hazards it immediatly turns off. I have tryed to have them in my rear brake lights and fron turn and they would not blink at all no fuses blown here I also installed the load resistors and still no blinking. I also learned via someone on this forum that the flasher in the LS is built into the guages in the dash.

Thanks for the info guys...I am going to stick with the halogens for now, I just thought the LED's would work better, and last longer....Damn picky LS has to have everything her way....:D
