First off I would like to say hello to everyone I have been a long time broswer of this site and just signed up today. Before I go in to the question I ask that none of you say that what was done was wrong because I had no control over the situation as it was my friend that was involved and he asked me for help and I seen that this forum has alot of knowledge so figured why not ask here :) so here it goes. My friend recently got in a wreck (no one was hurt) well he didn't have insurance so he fled the scene (I told him thats a no no) well now he is wanting to see if there is any warrants out for him before he drives his car so he can get a lawyer and get it taken care of, I told him to get a copy of his Driving Record although I dont know if it would actually show it on there is there anyway to see if he is wanted without asking for trouble? (example: turning himself in) only thing I could think of was a driver record but im sure there is something else that maybe someone on here knows about?

P.S. Love The Site

I believe if anyone turned in his license plate # he would have already been approached by police so he is pretty much clear unless his car is a total wreck and the driver of the other car happens to see him. This kinda stuff happens often here in TX where illegal immigrants dont have proper id therefore cant get insurance. And I would'nt turn myself in unless he has the money to pay for the other car and they can also claim they're hurt.

He can just call the local court clerk and have them search to see if there are any charges under his name.
