Hello LVC Forum! I'm Gabe, speaking from Brazil.
When I lived in USA some time ago I had an 94 Thunderbird SC and a friend had a nice MkVIII that I absolutely loved.
Back home in Brazil I have a 95 v6 Mustang and right now I'm in the proccess of converting the Mustang's engine to the Thunderbird supercharged engine (brought it in my bags!!) and increasing the "luxury" feel of the interior.
I remember how nice the MkVIII was and was looking forward in using some of it parts to make my Mustang a better car.
I've already installed the EATC from a MkVIII on it and it works flawlessly. It was a very intense job but everything worked out.
And now comes another phase of my project... Illuminated Cruise Control switches.
I know that a guy at SCCOA managed to used the MkVIII buttons on a Mustang steering wheel and installed in his Thunderbird using a clockspring from a MkVIII.
The only question I have: are the MkVIII clockspring's "mounting tabs" the same as the Mustang? The wire conectors are different, but it's not a hard thing to change.
Thanks!
Gabe
