lol priceless..love the tire marks behind it :D Get an xaust on that puppy and it'll be super loud ans faster!! We had a kart we put an indexed head and robbinsons bro's. torque tube on and that thing FLEW!

Hope your kids enjoy it!...im sure you might as well :D

Wow! A rear wheel drive Honda! LOL! Why is that a go-kart with a lawn mower engine gets posi-traction and Lincoln can't seem to do it? Anyway, congrats man. Have fun with it. Oh, and you got him wearing a helmet?

Oh yeah he has to wear a helmet! A couple weeks ago I let my son who is almost 8 years old drive my other go-kart, it's a bit bigger & faster. I wasn't sure if he could handle it or would run into something so me being the genius that I am decided to let him drive it & I would stand on the side of the frame & hold on to the roll bars. I figured this way I could hit the kill switch if needed. What a great idea it was! He was going about 25-30 mph & I told him to slow down. Well, instead of slowing down he cut the steering all the way left, I was on the right. The wieght of me caused the cart to go up on two wheels & I feel off of it. My ankle got caught under the rear tire (much bigger tires than his cart) & ran it over as I went tumbling down the road. Even with jeans on I got some mean road rash on my knee & my ankle was in some terrible pain! I could barely walk into my house so the neighbors helped me. I can walk now but it still hurts & I still have a big bump on my ankle. Oh & when this happened my boy ran into the house & told his sister that he ran me over & killed me.

Funny huh? I didn't get mad at him since it was my stupid idea! I have since restricted the speed on his cart to about 10 MPH untill he masters it. I have added a performance carb, air intake & I made a straight header pipe for my go kart. I will driving it though, not hanging on it EVER again.:p

I had to buy some new tires for his cart today, I couldn't believe it!!! The tires are 12" tall, 5" wide & fit on a 6" wheel. (12/5-6) $100 freakin dollars for four of em!!! What a rip off!

my bosses son's used to run junior drags before they got into the stock cars here. 5hp b&s engines spinning about 25hp. running pure alcohol. not too practical for a fun cart though. enjoy.

OMG thats a funny story turborich I could picture the whole thing in my head  :D :D

My son at that age bounced a golf cart at a campground off a bran spanking new f-250 I thought the same as you he can drive it and if he gets in trouble I will just grab the wheel didnt work out that way when he started seesawing the wheel, then bounced off the f-250

Its great you doing this for and with your boys

WOW, Your son has an AWESOME toy there. Looks like a real blast! Does he race it often? That's what more kids need these days, a fun hobby to keep them out of trouble.

I let my son drive my other go kart today & he was actually doing great for a while anyways. We ride them at the school parking lot near my house. It's fenced in so I don't have to worry about a car hitting him or vise versa. There is a pretty long stretch that he was running & he was running it wide open for about 3/4 of it & then would slow down. We spoke about where he had to let off & start braking SEVERAL times. Well, for whatever reason he decided to not let off of the throttle untill the very last minute & he ran into a pole at about 25 MPH. Thank goodness He had his helmet & seat belt on!!!!!! He hit that pole & smasshed the front end, His chest hit the steering wheel pretty hard & has a bruise to show for it. I freaked out & ran him to to urgent care just to make sure he was OK. He hit pretty hard & had trouble breathing at first but by the time we reached the urgent care he was fine. They said he was good to go. I hope he understands how dangerous the karts can be if he doesn't pay attention now! We are going to take a break for a week or two. I have already chopped off the bent up stuff & made everything level & straight again. I just need to get some tubing & weld it back on. I'm thinking of adding some type of small coils to the very front tube just in case:eek:

Wear a helmet & a seat belt! They really do work!

We have carts and four wheelers. My son got his first 4 wheeler when he was 5. A Suzuki LTA 50. First trip out, he ran into my friends 17' boat. Pushed it 12 inches sideways and broke the prop. He was wearing all his gear, helmet, gloves, boots, chest protector, and he was unhurt. Got back on and rode for another 4 hours. Last year he got a 70CC 4 wheeler. First trip out, hit a rock racing and beating his 12 year old cousin. 4 wheeler stopped, he kept going. Flew about 10 feet, landed in a mud puddle. Again, all safety gear on and he walked away wet and muddy. We ride together a lot. he loves it. I am still healing from our last ride. We were jumping a small jump. My ride quit. He made the jump higher without me knowing. I hit it and landed hard. Broken wrist and a separated AC. Still awaiting surgery on the wrist. I have to admit, the boy can ride. Ride hard, be safe. Make sure you wear your gear.
