And people say cBS news is not biased. Again and again it shows.

Chris Wallace: Mike Wallace Has 'Lost It'
"Fox News Sunday" anchorman Chris Wallace says father Mike Wallace has "lost it" - after the legendary CBS newsman told the Boston Globe last week that the fact George Bush had been elected president shows America is "[expletive]-up."

"He's lost it. The man has lost it. What can I say," the younger Wallace lamented to WRKO Boston radio host Howie Carr on Friday.

"He's 87-years old and things have set in," the Fox anchor continued. "I mean, we're going to have a competence hearing pretty soon."

Wallace Jr. quickly dispelled any notion that he was joking. When Carr suggested that his comments were likely to be covered by NewsMax, he responded: "You know what? Fine. Go ahead. Call them. That's fine. I'll stand by that. He's checked out. I don't understand it," beyond the fact that Wallace Sr. has "problems with the war."

"I don't know why he said what he said," he added.

What's the point of this? All I see is one man disliking Bush and his sanity is being questioned for it. That's the #$%^%$-up part.

Fox is the biased one......... If you hate Bush, then you must be mentally unstable.

I took an ethics course in college, in it, we watched an excellent PBS series called "Ethics in America." Some of the best minds, from all different backgrounds, were assembled around this giant, sort of, round table atmosphere, to discuss ethical dilemas.

It's a bit dry, but it's really and incredible series to watch. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

On one episode, journalistic ethics were brought up. Mike Wallace participated in this session.

The question possed was, "If you were inbedding with an enemy battalion, and you had learned of an imending ambush on American soldiers, would you inform the American's ahead of time to save their lives."

Mike Wallace said he would not tip of the American soldiers.

And saying "America is F-d up" because it voted for George Bush isn't just a difference of opinion. It's an assement of the majority of the population who voted for him. It's an elitist tone implying that HE isn't f'd up, and that those that would disagree with him are. It's a pretty bold and arrogant statement.

But it's also worth taking note. One of the objective heads of CBS news here is saying that the country is F'd up because they voted for Bush. Care to bring up the bias in the mainstream media debate, yet again?

Need anymore proof? Andy Rooney, Mike Wallace and Walter Kronkite are the foundation of CBS news.

Don't forget the poster child Dan RatherNot and the infamous 'forgeries'.;)

Guarantee the 60 Minutes show this week or next will be on Bush's spying. They'll be spinning it faster than a ceiling fan.

WOW, he wouldn't tell the soldiers of an ambush. I'm not much of a Bush fan, but to not tell the American soldiers about an ambush if he knew something is just f---ed up.

Actually, what you see is one man crudely, insultingly denigrating the majority of Americans' sanity and judgment, and his sanity is being questioned for it.

But thank you for acknowledging that another prominent member of your side HATES Bush. HATE HATE HATE!!!

Sort of undercuts objectivity, doesn't it?

Ann Curry, an anchor at the Today Show, was on the Martha Stewart show last week (yeah, yeah, I know you guys will give me grief for watching Martha Stewart, but its a fun show).

Anyway, Martha asks Ann why she went into journalism. Her answer was that she "wanted to make a difference". Well, I hate it when newspeople give this answer. Charlayne Hunter-Gault gave the same answer a few years ago in another interview. Seems to me that it is not the job of news reporters or anchors to "make a difference". Rather, they should be reporting unbiased facts. If these folks wanted to make a difference, they should go into social work, become nuns, or write opinion pieces -- they should not be in hard news journalism.
