I love my Lincoln.
Six month ago I purchased my first Lincoln in Florida will I stayed there no problem.

Since I came back home in Texas in the cold weather the car is acting.

As soon the weather goes under 45 degree weather the car will crank and not start...
It will crank perfectly everything come on, the engine will have fuel for running one second and shut down.
Crank again, same thing run one second and shut down.
This is not the battery have plenty of juice! I suspect some relay or fuel pump.
As soon it warm up outside I go back to start the car and it start!!!
As any of you ever had this problem? I hope to resolve this issue since that car is now my first mode of transportation.

Neither to say I call the service dealer to be told gracefully hay just brings it in and we will look at it! It will cost you $100.00 to start...
Other wise we cannot help you.

Where is the time that peoples who work in these shop had pride in there product and where helpfull.

I appreciate any help you could give me.

The car as 125,000 miles

Thanks:

1. You have a bad ground wire somewhere. Probably for the fuel pump. No codes, just intermittent connection.

2. Your fuel pump, which is in the tank, is going. If you read the codes and you get no codes, the fuel pump is going. Have to keep 0.25 tank of fuel to lube the pump.

Make sure you have a new battery. If it is 3 years old or more, get a new one.

By The Way, it is minus 40 Celcius this morning and my wife drove my continental to work. I dont have it plugged in, but I keep it in an unheated garage. We will see if it starts after work for her.

I tryed to start the car, it crank up but will not event start for a second.
All it does is turn the engine with the starter.

I am seriously thinking it may be the fuel pump. But how could I be certain?
Help please.

if it has to do with the pressure of the fuel pump you can buy a gauge(my car had one before i got it so i dont know where you can get it) to check what pressure its running it should be near 40 psi
