Lincoln annd Cadillac owners ARE smarter than this, right?

Some people are smart enough to earn lots of money in very nice professions. But that's where the smarts end.

I know a guy out in this are who purchase land on top of one of our bluffs. He made the driveway. None of the supply truck bringing materials for the building of his log home would go up the drive.

He go stuck with his 4 x 4 and had to get horses to pull him out. He was a retired engineer from Chicago. The amish guy who pulled him out with his horses asked me (I was delivering some hardwood flooring) is this guy a smart "English" (term used of not Amish). I said well he graduated from college. He said you don't have to be so smart to go to college then.

Even after dropping the dirve 10' nobody would take any material to him. The Amish took everything up with their teams of horses. You would think that he would have tried something else. 2 very sharp dog legs and very steep. There is no way that he would ever get off his bluff in a big snow fall.

Has nothing to do with smarts....IMHO. It has to do with.....................

COMMON SENSE......or the lack there of!
:F

I remember back in the old college days. The guy on our floor with the highest GPA was the dumbest $#!+ that I knew. He would :q up anything he had or did other then book work.

I agree on the common sense!!! Sometimes not so common!!!!

ok c that is y i live in florida me n cold weaher dont get along so i dont gotta deal wi it n ya i agree wit yall my dad was the smartest guy i ever knew could sit n watch jeopardy n get every answer right but as for common sense he had none

Yes, I must admit that over the years, it DOES seem that book smarts and common sense vary inversely in most people. Remember they always said that Einstein had a hard time doing the simplest tasks like tying his shoes etc.

Well, the owner of THAT garage was certainly NO Einstein! LOL What a maroooon! :p

I agree. Book smarts and common sense almost never reside in the same area. The trouble is that usually the person with the degree (book smart) gets the job, while people like myself who can out perform 95% of the people doing the job, don't get hired. Needless to say that's a really bad subject for me.

BTW yes that was pretty dumb...
