I was wondering if there where any instructions on how to remove the stock stereo on the lincoln aviator. I just ordered one of those AUX RCA imput for my XM tuner, but I cant figure out how to remove the stock deck.

It's an 03 with 6 disk in dash

Thanks!

It's about as easy as it gets. There are two screws holding the flip door assembly at the top rear of the assembly (closest to the front of the car) I can't remember for sure what it takes to access those screws, but it's not hard. Just look at the top and it should be obvious. After you remove the screws, take a hook tool and very carefully pull on each side about 2 inches up from the bottom of the assembly. This will pull the clips out of their holder. Once you have those loose, there is one more clip holding the top between screws you removed. Just pull it straight out. Once removed, just pull the screws out of the radio and slide it out. It really does only take a couple of minutes to remove it once you see how it's all put together.
