current line up - garbage.

the only thing they make now that i still like is the town victoria.. i mean the town marquis. i mean the town car.

my next vehicle will more thann likely be an 05 or 06 navigator, and when im through with that thing, im sure cadillac will still be ahead of the lincoln, so ill make the brand switch then.

traitor? how so. im not the company that discontinued one of the best cars ever(the ls). im not the company that ruined the best looking luxury suv. im not the company that put out the horrendous mkz. i am definately not behind the new mkx or whatever the hell that big toe with wheels looking thing is called. and im pretty sure i dont endorse the new mks either. so therefore im not a traitor, im not selling out my fan base by offering the ugliest cars on the market and admitting to giving up on the battle with cadillac and ssetting my sights on buick. sorry.

the new lincoln line up is underwhelming.

i love my town car. i still liek the new town cars, but lincoln apparantly has no interest in the car, havent seen a commercial for one in years.

Hate to correct you here, but the Mark series beats the LS, and was much longer-running prior to its discontinuance too. :p

I'm in agreement, though. The Town Car is probably the only new model I'd buy from Lincoln these days. But aren't they getting ready to drop even that?

:I But not the ls part...I'd say it's the mark VIII.
They don't need to advertise the town car. They have the limo market cornered, Why waste advertising money on cars that get more exposure on the hyways than they would ever get from commercials?

Just messin with you, and I dont dissagree with you either....This was a post that you shouldnt take seriously, or personally. Maybe when my first Lincoln's newness wears off, I probably will think about other cars, as well, but for now...:L

I hope they dont kill the Towncar, it was the only nice Lincoln i saw at the NY motor show. Their range does seem very limited at the moment.

When Wm. Wrigley was asked, back in the 80's I believe it was, why, when they have the majority share of the market, they continue to pour money into advertising, he responded, (I'm paraphrasing 'cause I don't remember exactly) "Advertising is the engine that runs the train. Without it we would run out of steam."

I also personally, tend to think it demonstrates their own commitment to their product but I like Wrigley's answer better.

I agree, They should advertise for the general public, But I believe the bulk of their sales are and will be corporate and tranportation.
I can't remember the last time I seen or heard a town car advertisement,:D maybe it was in the 80's.LOL :D And their still steaming along!

hmmm... I saw a Town Car ad in a Western magazine (someone showed to me) when I was in India in '94. Go figure!

I don't blame Nakoa for his loss of interest in Lincolns. It's happened to Joe
Sherlock, former LCOC Director, too. They don't interest me anymore, either.

And, as far as the Mark VIIIs go, a Jag XKE has more leg width room.

I would take lincoln over cadillac any day, much better trim and finish is the reason i got the LS to start with, but now after all those events with the repairs, im not to sure i would buy lincoln again.. the MKZ is nice looking, but doesnt have the same finish as the LS...

Now that i got two boys, time to start selling her.. and looking into an outlook saturn or something 8 pass... yeah its not a minivan ok lol
