Dashmats are nice - I use one in my Benz-it prevents sun deterioration/cracks/fading during daytime driving or outdoor storage and they are instantly removeable. They really look nice, too.

Custom cut for any car www.godashmat.com and they are only about $25 new. I use the new "post-it" 3m velcro so I don't have glue spots on my original pad.

That dash cover looks like it's cut for a pre-'03 LS. The '03-'06 LSes don't have a visible seam for the passenger-side airbag (or for the driver's airbag, either); there's just a groove on the backside of the dash cover where it'll separate on deployment.

That may not be important, but it's possible that the airbag blowout panel may not be in the same location on the newer LSes...

I have one of the original Dashmats from 1981 on my 80 635Csi. Their first shop was just down the street from me in AZ and they used my car to make the first template for the BMW 6 series. I used it in AZ because of the heat & Sun. My 1980 dash is good as new with no cracks. I am not so sure about using one on my LS as the Dash is so big and slopes so much it may not hold well. I am also not in AZ anymore and don't worry so much about the Sun. Anyone with pics of the DashMat on their LS?
