will 3.73 gears traction loc fit into an 8.0 housing on the ls with out an major mods

the trac loc will fit. If its the right one, that is. The gears won't work.

the 8.0 and 8.8 carriers (the trac loc) will interchange. but you have to use the original 8.0 gears.
and then something about the halfshafts. they need to be 28 spline. gen 1 half shafts maybe?
