I have a 2002 lincoln ls 109k on it... I thought it was over heating but it didnt and it was just running hot temp was above middle alomst at third line ... Any suggetstion of what could be wrong? Thanks for help
most will say to check the degas bottle and it very well could be, but mine did the same as yours. mine ended up being the hyd. cooling fan. the front seal was worn enough to allow the oil level to drop enough to where the fan was not spinning at its full rpm. i refilled the level and all was well for a month. the fluid once again dropped to that level. i added some berrymans b-12 to the oil and refilled. that was a year ago and the oil level has not changed since.
once the fan had not done its job the coolant system ended up with some air in it. once again i had a slight overheat problem. it took several times of opening the bleed screw and letting out those couple pesky air bubbles. once again that was almost a year ago and all is well.
