Do you think Lincoln will get back in the 2dr luxury game now that Cadillac is slated to make the CTS Coupe (2010)?

Id love to see this, but know its not going to happen.

I would love to see a LS replacement as well as a two door, but it may be a while... The big problem, V8 + rear wheel drive.
Ford has taken a different approach than GM (and so far hasn't had to take our- I mean the government's money to stay alive). They have invested in smaller engines and AWD platform instead of horsepower and rear wheel drive. Don't get me wrong I will always be a rear wheel drive V8 kind of guy but in a world where most people are buying Accords, Camrys, Civics and Carollas Ford isn't going to invest in the opposite of that heavily until their stable is secure with foreign fighters.
Just my two...

Maybe Lincoln will go ahead with the MKR concept car
According to a reliable source, the MKR is dead. There were public statements about a Mustang-based Lincoln coupe, but J Mays said they had to get the sedans going again before they could move on to coupes--and that was before the automotive industry started circling the bowl.

When things finish turning around, who knows what we'll see out of Lincoln...

I hope so cause the MKS, MKZ, MKX, and Navigator doesn't satisfy my enthusiasm for Lincoln..the Mark LT was nice but they cut them off..the Lincoln Aviators were good too.....wish they will do something soon cause I don't wanna down myself to a Mustang (just don't like the 2010 look)....

new age mark id say, from what i saw at the philly auto show the mkr is eeevil!!

MKR would be nice but it will never happen, in the meantime I'm still praying for the MKC.

I would love to see a Mark type vechicle from lincoln, I am so tired of these "go green" people, how did you guys feel about the thunderbird SC, I loved them personally. Would that sell in todays world

Ford has a 2 door coupe, it's called the mustang. Lincoln isn't gonna put out a coupe anytime soon. And wouldn't it be the MKZ they make into a coupe? not the full size MKS.

I think it woulod kbe a smart move for lincoln to go to a 2 door coupe, I would buy one! make it a V8 400+ Hp price it a 50G make it comparable to a 6 series, make it mod friendly, People are buying V8's I see new Camaro's, Challengers, all the time, why not add luxury to it. Go after the Mark crowd.
I may be wrong, but I would love to sit behind the wheel of a 2011 Mark IX, I think thats Mark 9.

I'm not sure but I don't think you can get a 400+ HP 6 series for 50K...
As a matter of fact it's more like $78,200 starting price for the base model so Lincoln would be undercutting the competition by almost $30,000? Considering the TT MKS is around 50K fully loaded wouldn't the V8 coupe be priced above that?
Heck the 3.2 V6 A5 Audi breaks 50K with the high 200's in HP!

Cool idea but I just think it's a little unrealistic to want to see those things in a 50K luxury coupe.

love to see it, but very doubtful since ford only has 2, 2 door cars, the rustang and the focus..........:(

Those fast ford coupes are the gt 500's and they don't stack up to the M6 or even the M3, and if the CTS coupe gets a V version count all the mustangs out. The CTS-V is sick and then M5 and M6 can't beat it on the track.
