Ive been searching for hours now and can't find anyone that has the same problem. I have a 01 ls v6 with 72,000 mikes on it. All forward gears work fine but reverse. Maybe one out of 50 times it will go in reverse and work fine. I just did a trans flush and no change. I saw that it could be the solenoid assembly but I don't wana waste my money to find out that's not it. The only thing I did notice is when I put it in d5 it jerks hard sometimes but drives fine through all gears. Please help!

If you're looking for an absolute answer of "it will be part X, and only part X," you're not going to get that. Someone's going to have to open up the transmission and look at it before they can tell you if it is the solenoid assembly or something else. Even then, something else might be found only after the repair is made.
