Little highway race

Just had couple of friends come to visit me from Atlanta, and they got a 2006 Altima with 5 Speed, the engine is 3.5 V6... anyways its only got like 2K miles on it so im not sure if its got full power yet but this is how it went down.. 2nd gear roll, as soon as we got on it i slowly started to pull by the end of 3rd he was at my back bumper and i was slowly pulling on him..

What are thoes things rated at for HP?? i tougth he would destroy me since its a 3.5 with a 5 Speed :shifty:

i thought so too.. but the once the ls gets going, its a little hard for some cars to keep up. i think the altimas should be good for a mid 14`s 1/4 mile which is faster than an the ls but i guess the only way its faster is from a dead stop.

i will have to see if he want to go from a dead stop just for fun... i dont know if he will take me off teh line tho since my car usualy pulls on anything i go up against atleast for the 1st gear..

I just bought a '89 camaro with a built 350 and I let my buddy drive my gen1 LS and I raced him on the highway. I was proud to see my LS no mar than 1/2 car behind me til about 90mph. Later on in the eve I ran into a 2nd gen black LS with exhaust and other mods I'm sure cuz we raced and I didnt start pulling til about 110mph! Man I love the LS.

Yea they are pretty quick. I ran one along time ago and I took him when we both got on it at the same time but when he decided to go again(both were from a roll) and got a jump I did not get even. This was before the intake and the 2nd time there was traffic so I backed out.

I was once having a passing war with a new maxima on the highway. All of the maximas have the 3.5. I was pleased that at highway speed the Maxima could not keep up, however the 0-60 times on the maxima are about 1 second quicker to 60 than the 02 LS.
