Location of IAC sensor?

I have a 95', and mines all the way in the back of my engine. the throttle body is right in the center but all the way in back and the IAC is connected to the TB on the left side, if your looking at the engine. Do a search because there is a picture of the IAC. Good Luck

Here it is on the left...not a fun job the first time you have it at.

To make it easier, I suggest disconnecting the fuel lines, unbolting the lines from the firewall and moving them out of the way. A small open end wrench for the bolt closest to the firewall, and a 1/4" drive ratchet with a small extension for the bolt that's closer to the motor. Also, put a little RTV between the IAC and the new gasket and let it dry before trying to re-install it. Taking the TB off also gives you a little more room to get your hands in there, too.

Like I said, the first time took a WHILE to get out and back in. The second time I went at it and put in a new IAC it was MUCH easier.

When I asked my friend about it (owns a local garage) he told me to take of the TB and clean out all the passages and not to bother with a new IAC. I already have it and when I have it all apart I might as well put it on.

Just got in from TRYING to do the IAC. TB off and all I still can't get near the front bolt on the thing, so I am gonna let my friends shop do it instead. I can now see why someone would pull the intake manifold to do it!

Bah, c'mon man lol 1/4" drive ratchet, deep socket and a little (like, 2") extension and you can get it out :D

Man I wish, I unbolted the TB and even lying on top of the engine I could only just get my finger to touch the bolt closer to the firewall. I just said forget it and bolted everything back together as I was offered by a mechanic to do it for me.

If this wasn't my only car on the road right now I might try harder. If I loose any parts or have any other problems right now I cannot drive to get the parts to fix it. It will get done when it gets done at this point...
