Got the 2003 LS today. Locked it in for $5200 CAD with Tax ($4128 USD) (13% tax in Ontario) safety and E tested. Only left deposit, car to be picked up on Saturday.

Car is in amazing shape. First owner bought it and immediately moved to Clearwater Florida, and drove it for 7 years there. I looked underneath, and the car has virtually no rust. Our 2014 300c which is rust proofed from Krown, has more rust than this LS.
Brought a few friends with me who are mechanically inclined, and we searched it through and through. Car still had factory wax on some of the metal under the hood. Amazing condition.

Drove very well. Car did throw an ETC failsafe warning when I Punched it. No funny idling and or misfire noticeable, so I called my mechanic and he said its an ignition coil, they fail all the time on this car. 75000 kms (46,000 miles) on the car.

Fuel mileage read out 13.1L/100km average (17 mpg). Which in my experience is about normal on this car.

One quick question: Are the curtain airbags optional on all LS models?

Edit: Not sure why i cant link photo from drop box.

I don't see many white LSes out in the world these days ...feel free to send some more picks ...from the one I saw she looks real clean

Yes, the curtain airbags were optional on all. They were often linked with the rear park assist as some sort of safety package. My 06 has them, my 04 does not.

Ya I'll post more pics when i take them Saturday.

@joegr, I noticed that the 2nd gens come with side impact airbags (window ones) as a standard feature but curtain bags are optional.

2004 Lincoln LS Safety Features

So do they have a side bag, and optional extra side bag? Or no side bag at all unless you got the upgraded package.

All LSes (both gen I and gen II) come with lower side airbags in the two front seats (plus the two front airbags, steering wheel and passenger dashboard). So, four airbags were standard for all LSes.

You could also optionally add side curtain airbags. These are in the roof on each side and give additional protection for both front and rear seat passengers. The two seat side airbags are also retained, so these LSes have six airbags. (The seat side airbags are smaller on the LSes with the curtain airbags.)

Air Bag and Safety Belt Pretensioner Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)
The air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) is designed to provide increased collision protection for front seat occupants in addition to that provided by the 3-point safety belt system. The SRS will also provide increased collision protection for the rear occupants when equipped with optional side air curtains. Safety belt use is necessary to obtain the best occupant protection and to receive the full advantage of the SRS.

This vehicle line contains dual-stage deployment (advanced restraint system) driver and front passenger air bag modules. These vehicles are also equipped with seat side air bag modules and optional side air curtain modules.

Vehicles equipped with side air curtain modules are also equipped with seat side thorax air bag modules. Vehicles that are not equipped with side air curtain modules are equipped with seat side air bag modules. Seat side air bag modules and seat side thorax air bag modules deploy from the outboard front seat backrest upon a side impact. Side air curtain modules deploy from the headliner, protecting the first and second row outboard occupants during a side impact.
