so i got my power steering back together, kind of, and i had to repair part of the hose, any who dose anybody know where to get a tool that would give me that round flair

If you can get the hose off, take it to your local hydraulic hose shop and I'm sure they'll put a flare on it for you. They might even custom make something for you. Go during 2nd shift though. Sometimes people will make things out the back door for you just because their bored.

what kind of flair is that called

BUBBLE FLARE!

or a double flare... both will work

EDIT FOR BELOW RESPONSE: a tube flaring is a mass category for these two sub categories... go to a shop and ask for "a quick bubble flare on a power steering line" and they will know EXACTLY what you want, should take like less than 5 minutes if you go there with it in your hand... possible to do one right on the car as well, would probably take a tad bit longer though

would using a regular flare, like on a brake line, work

yes, I believe so, these are called bubble and double flares... The fitting that connects the rack hardline to the rubber hose looks like a standard double flare fitting; but the rack connection itself could differ from that though, (I've seen some special rack connections with rubber O-rings on them, not sure if yours is the same)

as you don't have leaks when you create the vacuum (start your car) everything is golden... after you get the flaring done you should connect the line and then fill the power steering reservoir, start the car and turn the wheel on a rotary lift... then have a buddy check for leaks around the flaring

not sure if your car has the brake boost power steering like in the mustangs but if so pump the brakes while testing as well... just as a second test type deal
