I have a 94 Mark and when I push the outside temp button it doesnt always read right, Id like to replace it are they still available? Im not really sure how to search the net for it.

Also my automatic headlights used to stay on all the time unless I turned the thumb wheel all the way up and shut them off, now they don't work at all. I checked the relay and its not the issue, Im guessing the sensor on the dash is bad? Are they still available? I have to replace my passenger air bag can I get to it while its out?

You should just use rockauto's catalog. It's much faster than waiting for an answer here.

Ambient Air Temperature Sensor for a 1994 Mark VIII: #AE5Z12A647A

Rockauto has a Dorman #902021 for replacement and it's $17.95.

My automatic headlamp system doesn't work either. I leave the wheel off and turn the headlight knob when I need lights. I'm too lazy to fix it because I'm not so lazy that I can't turn the knob when it's dark.

Its not so much about being lazy as I just want everything to work like its supposed to. Half the allure of the mark is all the options.

Now I just need the part # for the photo eye, Ive been looking for it on and off for a few days.

You can get ahold of one of our used parts guys. Carlos or Bruce (dbleb88?)

Both sell used M8 parts at good prices. Can't hurt to try, unless of course you want new.

Id rather new considering they dont usually last very long.

Both of mine are original @ 20 years old/168k. Just sayin.

Just keep them in mind as some of the parts for these cars aren't available new.

That's pretty good, maybe I just happened to own 2 cars that were duds. I'll try and contact racebronco.

How hard are they to change can I just pull the passenger airbag and reach them?

It's very possible that 1st gens were a little problematic but I don't remember reading about a whole lot of issues.

Iirc, the outside temp sensor is in front of the condensor. If the light eye/sensor is anything like a gen2 it'll be upper right side of the dash. Prying up the top cover will give you access to it.
