I notice when I drive w/ all windows down it seems the headliner 'flaps' in the wind. Mostly the area closer to the rear window. I notice it in the rearview as im driving...

Anyone else have this?

MIKE

common - also it tends to come loose on the rear side of the sunroof opening - the air coming in pops it loose.

it's held on by velco that is glued onto the headliner and roof. sometimes just the velco popped, sometimes the glue gave away.

I see mine is detached right behind the moonroof. I plan to try shoe goo.

If it is the fabric then I would use the spray adhesive from 3m. You might even be able to use that fabric tape that bonds when ironed. You can likely find it at a fabric shop.

its not the fabric, rather the entire deal flaps around... to the point the dome light moves

yikes! I have been fortunate enough to not have had this problem yet and have not had this headliner off. I have had the fabric pull free on other cars though in the past.

Very common problem, happened to mine a few times, I just mention it when in for an oil change or whatever else and FLM fixes it no questions asked.

so is it eh back board that is falling off or the sponge material between the fabric and the back board.

In most cases it is the whole thing. The fabric, padding, and board are all together, the whole thing just hangs down an inch or so.

yep, when i bought my car the roof panel was hanging down just a tad near the brake light. I thoght it was because the guy before needed to change the brake light bulb, but maybe not. I used a small piece of 2 sided tape and it worked like a charm

Mine is doing that as well, only its the whole thing, fabric and board, right along the rear window. It has fell down about on inch. I haven't done anything with it yet. So epoxy is the answer?

mines is an 03 i had the EXACT same problem dzienkob did and im telling you a small piece of 2 sided tape is the answer for a little part like that

Mine is a 2000 LS. The first time it happened, I took it to the dealership and it just came unclipped from the roof according to the mechanic. Now it seems as if the adhesive holding it all into place has given way.
