So I've reached an impasse on this problem. First thing I do is the DATC checks and find only one code either continuous or on demand. That was 2426 which from research is the solar sensor. Huh?

Check the compressor clutch to ensure it is engaged. It kicks on and off from the interior controls just like it should. It doesn't sound bad or squeL or squeak. Huh?

Use a service hose to check my low pressure and it reads 55 psi. A little high but definitely not low on r134a and I believe rules out a leak. Huh?

The car isn't blowing full heat it's more lke the vent is going so it will blow air the same temp as the engine compartment or outside. The air blowing out is the same temp on both sides of the cabin. Huh?

So now I'm scratching my head. I don't have service gauges to check the high side but I'm not crazy to rush out and buy them if I can avoid it. Ideas? Is the compressor faulty internally? Is it DCCV even though it's not blowing full heat or uneven across the cabin? Could I have a blockage in the line? I'd like some input on how to proceed please.

No way to tell you without knowing the low side and high side pressures while the compressor is running...
Any cooling at high revs? - Might be the compressor (or actually a valve in the back of the compressor).
None - Might be the expansion valve.

All these are wild guesses without knowing the pressures. If you aren't willing to buy a gauge set, then you won't be willing to buy a good vacuum pump either. So, why are you even asking? Either forget about AC, or take it to a dealer or a good AC shop.

Not enough info. year make model mileage. My LS is an 01, never had a problem with the a/c but found the valve core had loosened itself and let out the 134, so tightened up the core, reloaded 134 and now good to go. Anyway, as a shade tree mechanic, I usually go buy a can of 134 and charge the system and see if it makes a difference. Its cheap quick and rules out a problem with the compressor. maybe you can borrow a gauge set. Joegr is right, head on over to an a/c shop and let them diagnose the problem for you.

Good plan. Local shop will diagnose me for less than the cost of guauges. Will keep you posted on results.
