Has any one put any adjustable aftermarket coil overs on their LS? If so what brand and were they built for the LS. Also could you use aftermarket Jag. S-type Coil overs on the LS?

The LS doesnt have any aftermarket coil covers that i know of.

I dont think the s-type does either.

There are kw3 variant coilovers for the S type but you would need upper and lower jag control arms and some custom fabrication to get them to work

For sure thank you for the help.

Never mind for some reason i thought you were talking about coil covers and not coil overs.

Haha.. That's how I read it..

Cam has a custom kit going into his LS.. Look under the Land Speed LS in the LS High Performance section

lol all good.

Btw bullschmidt what lowering springs do you have on your LS Eibachs or the Sprints. and is the ride much different and hows the bounce bak on speed bumps. lol

I have eibachs. Ride is firm and I avoid all potholes and speed bumps at all costs. I literally have turned around and done evasive maneuvers before if necessary

You still avoid them with stock wheels??

It shouldint be a problem with 235/245 tires.

My main concern is scraping my front bumper.

We used Leda adjustable coilovers on the OLOA LS - $600 per corner.

no i mean driving around here the way the roads are.

My front bumper is already scraped a bit cause certain roads are higher than other roads i come onto and even at an angle i scrape.

My sideskirts are scraped too from the previous owner. And before i refinished the front bumper it was scraped so much from the previous owner that i had to replace the engine spash guard cause all the clips came off.

With stock wheels pot holes are bad enough and teeth rattling so I can imagine how bad it is with less rubber. I tried a pretty average size speed bump after I changed my springs and I scraped my front bumper and felt the underside take a pretty big hit so avoid them now at all costs

Also on the highway with anyone in the back dips cause my rears to rub usually

BlackLS06 if your roads are that much fun already, you should get springs and take it to another level :)

The Koni double-adjustable coil-overs I'm fiddling with are somewhat less than $500.00 each, but you'd have to factor in the cost of the springs and the cost to fabricate the mounts. Luckily, I had these left-over from a previous project. They are generic racing shocks. You must make them fit whatever you use them on.

I have the same tips too but mine dont stick out as far and i have tinted windows. other than that mine is the same.

Guess which guy ordered spacers the other day and is hoping they come soooon

That car is so sweet, LOL!

Actually, when I switched to my winter tires, I removed the spacers and I don't think I'll put them back on. I always had a slight shimmy up front and it was annoying. Took the spacers off and the ride is beautiful. Not sure if they were not completely hubcentric or if they were flawed somehow. And I don't mind the look without them.

And in reference to the Eibachs, it was the best decision I made. To me the change in ride quality barely exists. The New England roads are not kind, but I've had no problems at all. With other cars, I've cringed when pot holes, bumps, etc. were approaching. No such worries with the LS, with the exception of speed bumps and such. It's the most liveable lowered car I've owned. I highly recommend it.

Did you order the ones that were both hub and wheel centric with the lip? Maybe they weren't torqued down right on the hub?

Sweet. PICS!

I was going to lower mine this week, but there was no time. No more mods for a while. :(
