I was driving to work this morning and was getting onto another highway when a kid gets right on my butt on the on-ramp (the circular type) Well I usually take them at 45 but thought I'd see if I could leave the kid so I slowed down to 55 in the start of it. The kid stays right with me so I give the LS a little more gas. 60 now and the kid is still right on me so a little more gas and I am doing 65. The kid backs off. I gotta say I am impressed with the way these cars handle the curves. I mean I could feel my body being pushed, but the LS felt like it could take a lot more. Any other car I have tried this with has the tires squalling at speeds close to that. So when we get on the straightway I hit 70 and stay there, the kid comes beside me smiling real big and then backs off behind me. He was driving a Nissan 350Z. I'm not writing this as a kill story but I know a few people will still have to tear it apart, but I don't feel like arguing. I do however think that instead of dargstrip racing, we should try road course racing because I think that is were these cars come alive.

I totally agree. I nearly had the exact same thing happen to me except it was a BMW, not sure what series. I'd love to see how an LS would do on a road course.

True...the LS suprises alot of people in the cornering department. It is where this vehicle truly shines.

However, running through the twisties involves a HUGE amount of driver skill and confidence. If you know how to run through a corner you could beat 90%+ of the drivers on the road even if they were in a Z06 and you were in a Town Car.

Nice job showing the little beeyotch how to drive. He was driving a 0.89G capable car (stock LS is about 0.84...tires and suspension work help ALOT)and didn't even know it.

I'm running my at an open track day in August. I'm on the stock tires, so that will be a limiting factor, but it should still be fun.
